In this chapter, what began as innocent 5-minute visit to the police station turns into a living hell for Monica, as she gets arrested for a large set of financial and immigrational crimes of which she had no knowledge, cuffed, disrobed, and thrown in jail. Once in her cell, Monica has to endure not only the hardships of her cell, but also taunts of the prisoners surrounding her, and the brutishness of the prison warden, whom she manages to piss off with her arrogance from the very start.
