In this third (abridged) alternate ending, it is neither Megan nor Melissa but Rena that emerges as Jonas' true love - unfortunately, at the expense of Melissa's and Megan's broken heart. At the very least, Jonas and Rena manage to find happiness, as does Liam, and, as usual, all's well that ends (relatively) well.
